Site FAQs

  1. Is the site wheelchair accessible?  Yes!  There is accessible parking at the lower level of the Mill of Kintail (in front of the building).  There is also a ramp accessing the lower level of the building (where the Naismith collection resides).
  2. When is the museum open?  The museum opens the May long weekend and closes after Canadian Thanksgiving.  The site (hiking trails) is open year round.  DUE TO COVID-19, PLEASE SEE UPDATED HOURS AT THE BOTTOM OF OUR HOME PAGE.
  3. Is there a cost for parking?  Yes.  $6 a vehicle gets you access to the entire grounds for the day.  Or, you can purchase a yearly pass for $40 which covers parking, admission to the museums and access to MVCA’s other conservation areas.
  4. Is there a cost for admission to the museum.  Admission to the museum is by donation.  Thank you for your contribution!
  5. Is the museum suitable for children?  Absolutely!!  The site also boasts a brand new play structure and basketball court!!
